ABOUT MY CITY🏙️

Hello people, I'm Luis from Colombia, and here I'm gonna show you about the city where I was born. It is Monteria, a Colombian municipality, the capital of the department of Córdoba. It is located in the northwest of the country and is part of the Colombian Caribbean region, it is located on the banks of the Sinú River, which is why it is known as "La Perla del sinu".
💢
Perhaps Monteria is not a well-known city worldwide, but in Colombia, it is very important because Monteria is considered the livestock capital of Colombia.
💢
💢
The climate of Montería is tropical, maybe if you come it will be bad weather, but it's just a matter of getting used to it. It has a rainy period from May to October and a dry period from December to March.

Temperatures are high throughout the year but stable, however, they are higher from February to April, before the rains. Montería is one of the hottest cities in Colombia as a combination of humidity and temperature.
💢

Montería is more than cattle and fishing, it is a world full of flavors that will surprise you, come and try the "Bollo limpio, o dulce"

"BUÑUELOS DE MAIZ BICHE".

This is one of the main typical montería dishes and it is the ideal combination of crushed sweet corn, sugar to taste, salty cheese, and flour to make arepas.,

"CABEZA E' GATO"

Also called "macuchao", it is a typical Monterian dish based on plantains or green bananas accompanied by garlic, red onion, whey, and coastal cheese. It can include other ingredients such as meat or tomato, but that depends on the cook. Ready to try it?

"PETO"

If you are a fan of rice pudding, you will surely like the breastplate, because, in this typical dish of the region, the only thing that changes is that instead of rice they use white corn and that's it with a special flavor that you can accompany with sugar, panela or honey.

"BOLLO LIMPIO Y BOLLO DULCE".

This preparation typical of the Caribbean region consists of an exotic mixture of white corn, whey, grated cheese, milk, and salt, this last ingredient is what gives it the flavor, and it is perfect for breakfast with milk or eggs. However, you can eat it at any time of the day with meat, pork or, why not? Fish.

If love can turn into hate, then the salty bun becomes sweet, its preparation is the same, only it has a little sandwich or guava candy that takes away the saltiness.

"MOTE DE QUESO".

El mote is one of the most desired typical Montería dishes, which is nothing more than a soup made with Creole yams and white coastal cheese. At the end and if you like you can add slices of eggplant.

COROZO JUICE

It is a kind of plum, blueberry, in the Caribbean juices, chichas, and even wines are made. Also, a very popular option is bolOtheri (frozen juice in a bother of its uses are sauces to accompany seafood and fish, various sweets, and, clearly, in the exquisite Guajiro Asawaa® Artisan Liquor.
